The Project That’s You!

Those who grew up in the countryside as I did, and a couple who were charged with taking care of their younger siblings will remember this argument; It’s still okay now that the baby already took the medicine, we could as well shake the baby – no difference I thought The label read shake well before use?”

In a landmark ruling delivered by our apex court on September 1st 2017, I took away a reason –  One which noted that the results are only as good as a process. We may never agree on this for varied reasons but that’s not the point.

Others have also argued that  the end justified the means; does it really? – the Jury is still out.

A common measure of success in the generation before us and one that we belong to has not been so much what it was in the generation which our grandfathers belonged to, it also differs from the generation that our kids and those of theirs would use to measure success.

This measure as prescribed may have completely changed our perception of the noble and pushed many of us to the extreme as long as we met the expectation.

Simple thing describes Will Smith as “one of the most prolific entertainers in the world today. He’s been in countless blockbuster movies and is undoubtedly one of the most famous entertainers on the planet today. Smith is also very outspoken about what he believes it takes to achieve success”

The Best Project

I bet we’d all wish to be described this way. Every single day we set out on different assignments. One convergence that we all share is that we all want to be successful. No doubt about this.

So what happens along the way?

In one of Smith’s assignments, after his dad tore off their wall at home; he summarizes everything after he and his brother worked to put back up the wall for one and half years.

Here’s what he says. “You don’t try to build a wall, you don’t set out to build a wall. You don’t say I’m gonna build the biggest baddest wall that’s ever been built. You say, I’m gonna lay this brick, as perfectly as a brick can be laid, and you do that every single day, and soon you have a wall. It’s difficult to take the first step when you look how big the task is. The task is never huge to me, it’s always one brick.”

Every single entrepreneur today thinks about building the biggest, best, largest of the things that they want to do. That’s a good thing because every other investor will be looking for a scalable business – right? But imagine thinking about a solid foundation that makes it possible to get you to your destination. Think about the amount of morning runs and the day runs and the evening runs our athletes put in only to compete for 9 seconds and get that gold medal.

Two Reasons
Two Reasons

As we begin this new year; think about what difference you’d like to make on earth because you were here. Think about how you would want to be remembered. Think about the impact of your journey towards your success. Think about your passion and work on it. Think about what value you wish to fill in. Above all remember that we all have our right time, each one of us cannot have the same story and so do not break as you try to take someone else’s steps.

Finally – if it’s shake well before use; it can never be shake it well after use; it makes all the difference.

God Bless You all.
